What is meningococcal disease?
Meningococcal disease is a serious illness caused by several strains of meningococcal bacteria. MenB and MenACWY. Younger people living in close contact with others are at greatest risk.
If you are not vaccinated, you could end up with infections that may within hours become life-threatening
Infections of lining of brain and spinal cord (meningitis)
Serious blood infection (septicaemia)

Anyone between the ages of 13 to 25 year olds entering within the next three months, or currently in their first year of:
Living in boarding school hostels or tertiary education halls of residence
Military barracks
Youth justice residences
Prisons
